Karrion Kross & Scarlett STILL Haven't Signed New WWE Contracts (WWE News)
WWE still has creative plans for Karrion Kross and Scarlett despite contract status.
Karrion Kross and Scarlett haven't been offered brand new WWE contracts despite the couple's current deals running out in August, according to Fightful Select. The site noted that Kross has received new merchandise, has been heavily featured on TV and was even in a PLE match vs. Sami Zayn in recent months - they cited those as indicators that Karrion might've inked fresh terms.
He hasn't, at least not yet.
Fightful "asked internally" to try and get some answers, but say "things are being kept very quiet" on the Kross and Scarlett front. Of course, neither WWE worker will disclose anything publicly until they know for sure what's happening. As Fightful pointed out, they don't actually need to tell anybody a thing. This business is between them and the company, but it's an interesting story to follow for fans.
"At least 6 contacts" who spoke with Karrion and/or Scarlett said they received the same response as others. Neither one has been approached by WWE management about a new deal as of yet. Time is certainly ticking on that, and it's especially interesting that both continue to be spotlighted on major programming like Raw in the interim.
This is opinion and not something that was included in Fightful Select's write up, but it'd make sense to believe that WWE reckon Kross and Scarlett will be around longer term. The evidence on TV and PLE (as well as on the merch side of things) backs that theory up.
Opinion: Kross & Scarlett Under-Utilised Since 2022 Return
Everything from here on out is opinion. Again, it wasn't in Fightful's report.
Karrion Kross and Scarlett returned to WWE screens in August 2022. They'd been away since departing the promotion in November 2021 following a hot stint on NXT and frankly rubbish run on the main roster. Vince McMahon repackaged Kross as a Demolition-meets-Shredder-meets-Mad Max type, and he stripped Scarlett from his side for...reasons. Nobody could quite figure out what the-then boss was thinking, because his new approach was nothing like Karrion's work in developmental.
Most figured that Triple H would put things right by booking the real-life lovers strongly, but Kross and Scarlett's work since 2022 has been spotty at best. Or, to be more accurate, WWE's creative has been spotty. Their work has been fine, but they've rarely been given a proper opportunity to show what they can do.
Kross did feud with Drew McIntyre upon returning, and it seemed as though he'd get to joust with main man Roman Reigns, but then backstage interest in him cooled and WWE moved Karrion and Scarlett into a faction alongside AOP and Paul Ellering called 'The Final Testament'.
Ultimately, that went nowhere. Following the faction dissolving, Kross slid into a devil's advocate role (similar to Sean O'Haire in 2003) that saw him try to convince other wrestlers that they should stop listening to fans or even themselves. It's been semi-successful, but things really blew up when Kross blasted WWE during WrestleMania 41 season.
The entire wrestling world began talking about him after that, and the online drama he created has led to some more on-screen focus for Karrion and Scarlett. Generally, they've been woefully under-utilised across multiple stints on the main roster though. Hopefully, if they do put pen to paper on new deals, that'll change during the latter months of 2025 into 2026.
