The Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez is reporting that now-former NXT prospect Keanu Carver was quietly released from his WWE contract last week. This news comes in the wake of harassment allegations towards Carver from a female member of the roster (several outlets have decided not to name her out of respect). As reported, Keanu was claimed to have "harassed and stalked her, including making threats to her and her cats".

Now, he's apparently gone from the roster.

WWE signed Carver back in 2023 following a promising college football career. He wrestled his last match for the company on a 12 September house show (in Lakeland, Florida vs. Brad Baylor). Keanu's final televised bout for the promotion fell on the 8 September edition of NXT. There, he teamed with EK Prosper and Cruz Montana in a 6-man tag-team match loss to Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars and Tony D’Angelo.

It looks like that's a wrap on Carver's hopes of carving out something worthwhile for himself with the market leader. His 3-ish year run in developmental has come to an end. Earlier this year, word spread that WWE officials (including NXT chief Shawn Michaels) were impressed by Keanu and hoped to strap a rocket to him ASAP.

Now, he has zero chance of that. Obviously, things have got to be thrashed out on the legal side of things first and foremost, but the allegations make for grim reading. If true, then Carver could be in serious trouble. For now, according to Alvarez and The Observer, WWE has decided to move on from Keanu completely.
