NXT's USA Network debut left much of the wrestling world buzzing on Wednesday night. Not AEW standout Kenny Omega, though, as 'The Best Bout Machine' had some choice words for WWE's developmental brand during a recent interview with Sportskeeda wrestling.

When asked about the AEW vs. NXT war, Omega said: "you can call it a war if you want. It's like, to be, we're in a completely different kind of business. What we're doing is different from what they're doing."

He goes on, saying "let's pretend there were no promotions, let's just pretend there's just one big promotion. If these guys were on the same show as me, they'd be in the dark match. They'd be in the opening match of my main event."

That's... rather bold from Omega, though a little context needs to be applied here. Kenny's current angle is that his mind is unravelling following his loss to PAC. He's spiralling out of control, so if he's working, these words could all be part of that.

Or he might just be trying to attract attention to his home team ahead of their 2 October TNT launch. Who knows?
