Current AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has explained his thoughts on whether WWE and AEW will ever work together in the future, as revealed during his conversation with talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy.

After being asked whether he thought Triple H's comments on WWE being "open for business" when it came to working with outside promotions were legit, Omega had this to say:

“People change from day-to-day. You could have a bad day and completely change your mind on a topic. But from when I did speak at length with Triple H, it really felt like he understood a lot of my thought process and not only was I looking to unite and unify the world of professional wrestling and all of that, but he definitely got it."

As the conversation evolved, Omega would ultimately return to the question and simply answer:

“So, when he does say things like he’s ‘open for business,’ I do think if there is a situation which could maybe eliminate some of the worries and fears from the other people that have a say in making these things happen, I do see it being a reality."

Judging from Omega's comments, it appears the AEW star believes Triple H would potentially be open to doing business with Tony Khan's company down the line. However, convincing the likes of Vince McMahon and Co could be an entirely different obstacle altogether.

Yet, if recent events have taught us anything, it's that just about anything is possible in the land of pro wrestling. Up until a few months ago, the idea of NJPW, Impact and AEW all working together and exchanging talent on a weekly basis seemed like a pipe dream. But, here we are in February 2021, with KENTA showing up on Dynamite, FinJuice stopping by Impact Wrestling, The Good Brothers regularly invading AEW, and Jon Moxley set to defend a title on a NJPW show.

It may seem crazy today, but weirder things have happened...
