Kenny Omega, Young Bucks Purportedly "Winding Down" In AEW Soon (AEW News)
Is the end in sight for Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks?
With recent speculation that the Young Bucks could be winding down their in-ring careers, there's now some new information on the Bucks and Kenny Omega's current AEW contract status.
Speaking on the latest edition of the Talk'N Shop podcast, Karl Anderson - long-time friend of the Elite, and a founding member of Bullet Club - revealed that Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, and Kenny Omega all have their AEW deals coming up next year.
As Anderson explained, he speaks to the Bucks on a daily basis, and he mentioned that the Jacksons and Omega are "all going to start winding down real soon."
This comes on the heels of the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer suggesting that the Young Bucks could retire once their current contracts are done, and that Matt Jackson, specifically, has already considered retirement. However, Meltzer also said that he's of the belief that Kenny Omega will continue to wrestle for as long as he's physically capable.
Of course, first and foremost, before any potential contract expirations in 2027, the Young Bucks have the small matter of AEW All Out this weekend, where they challenge for Adam Copeland and Christian Cage's AEW Tag Team Titles in a triple-threat ladder match also featuring FTR. Should the Bucks leave All Out with the gold, that will make them record-setting four-time AEW Tag Champs.
As for Kenny Omega, the Best Bout Machine was last in action at All In at the end of last month, where he lost the AEW World Championship to Will Ospreay in a spectacular match.
