Konosuke Takeshita Leaving AEW For Japan Soon
It appears Konosuke Takeshita's American excursion is ending sooner than expected.
Konosuke Takeshita is heading back to Japan to wrestle for his home promotion's biggest show of 2022.
The Japanese star tweeted the news on Monday evening, saying that he doesn't have much time left in the United States before heading back for DDT's Wrestle Peter Pan event on 20 August. Takeshita added that he is looking forward to returning to the US in the future.
Your support really encouraged me!!

Takeshita is due to team with MAO and Yasu Urano in a 25th Anniversary Special six-man tag against Dick Togo, Daisuke Sasaki, and Kanon at Wrestle Peter Pan. It'll be his first match in Japan since 10 April, as the 27-year-old flew to the United States for a planned excursion shortly afterwards.
When, exactly, Takeshita will be back in the US is unclear. Although his AEW-based run was originally reported as a year-long deal, he is currently advertised for several DDT shows in September.
As well as drawing considerable acclaim for AEW matches with Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, and 'Hangman' Adam Page, Takeshita has faced a who's who of the US indies while in the country. Josh Alexander, Jonathan Gresham, and Mike Bailey are amongst his opponents in that realm.
