LA Knight is seemingly ready to get back in action after being pulled from last week's episode of WWE SmackDown.

Fightful reported last Friday that Knight had tested positive for COVID-19 prior to SmackDown, meaning he had to leave the building. This necessitated changes to the show's creative, which Knight had been factored into - involved John Cena.

The following day, WWE offered ticket-buying fans refunds for a house show Knight was due to wrestle on, which he also missed.

Now, Knight is ready to return. PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that the popular star is expected to return for WWE's SmackDown tapings in Sacramento, California tonight.

The 40-year-old was supposed to participate in an angle establishing him as John Cena's tag team partner for the 7 October Fastlane premium live event last week. That bout is currently billed as Cena in a handicap match with Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Presumably, WWE will find a new way of getting Knight into the match, though whether or not this will happen tonight is unclear.

Knight currently commands some of WWE's loudest crowd reactions, having gotten over to a megastar level in 2023.
