Remember Lars Sullivan?

One could be forgiven for forgetting about the former NXT big man as his name hasn't come up a lot in wresting media lately, and it sounds like this is the situation backstage in WWE as well.

Per Dave Meltzer in this week's edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lars should theoretically be able to return to the ring soon, having undergone knee reconstruction surgery back in June 2019. This would normally lead to backstage chatter about a potential return. With Lars, this isn't the case, as Meltzer writes that Sully "hasn't been mentioned at all of late."

While Lars was originally set for a monster push upon being called up to the main roster after WrestleMania 35, "nobody has talked about him in months." There's no word on whether or not Vince McMahon plans on bringing him back.

2019 was a horrid, horrid year for Sullivan. From his problematic message board history hitting the headlines and the ensuing $100,000 fine to the serious knee injury and news that he'd done pornography prior to signing with WWE, he has endured a lot. Let's see if he's able to return.
