Last Night's TERRIBLE WWE Raw Attendance EXPOSED
WWE Raw drew a poor, poor crowd in Saint Paul, Minnesota last night.
Last night's episode of WWE Raw in Saint Paul, Minnesota drew a poor crowd, prompting the promotion to shift fans around the arena in order to avoid embarrassing visuals on television.
Per WrestleTix, WWE distributed a total of 5,192 tickets for the show. This doesn't sound like a disaster on paper, though it certainly looks like one when viewing the arena as a whole, with WWE not using a huge portion of the hard cam side.
Home of the Minnesota Wild, the Xcel Energy Center's capacity is listed as 17,954, begging the question of why, exactly, WWE didn't book a smaller building rather than not even half-filling one that was objectively too big for demand.
A number of fan-taken photographs showing the empty side of the arena have hit the internet:-
I've never seen @WWE this bad. Monday Night Raw is looking like a ghost town. Wow.#WWERaw #WWE #XcelEnergyCenter pic.twitter.com/k29NQFgPOc

As far as moving fans goes, Dave Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online Daily Update that WWE had been shifting people in the top decks down to lower levels. This was because they had struggled to sell several seats that would have been shown on camera throughout the night. WWE wanted to fill them for a better TV visual, with this the method they took to do so.
WWE also dropped ticket prices ahead of the event, though this is a regular procedure for the company.
Last night's 5,192 attendance was below Raw's 6,826 average since returning to the road in July.
