Latest On Jim Ross' Skin Cancer Surgery
The legend also chimes in on Roman Reigns...
Jim Ross revealed on the latest episode of his Ross Report podcast that he's been undergoing surgery to remove the last remaining remnants of skin cancer from his shoulder.
The legendary announcer wanted to allay fan fears about the operation, calling it a routine follow-up to initial surgery in 2016 and ensuring everyone that, whilst the procedure is serious, he will be healthy enough to appear on Chris Jericho's cruise next week.
In a typically classy move, Ross also diverted attention away from his own pressing health issues to pay tribute to the bravery of Roman Reigns. To JR, it was admirable that WWE let Reigns speak his mind freely and kick off Monday's episode of Raw with candid news about his battle against leukaemia.
Seeing an unscripted Roman divulge something so personal resonated with Ross to the point that he felt similarly compelled to clue fans in on his show. That's a good thing, and everybody would trip over themselves to wish a wrestling treasure like JR is the best in his recovery anyway.
Again, JR is scheduled to appear on Y2J's sold out Rock N' Wrestling Rager cruise between October 27-31.
