PWInsider Elite is reporting that Vince McMahon did go over creative plans for Friday's episode of SmackDown, but didn't attend the show live.

The WWE higher-up, who recently returned to oversee a merger with UFC under the Endeavor Group banner, last attended TV on the 3 April edition of Raw. That post-WrestleMania 39 edition was rife with script changes reportedly mandated by Vince himself.

Since then, he's been a little more hands-off.

PWInsider did note that their in-company sources offered differing stories on exactly how much impact McMahon had on last night's SmackDown. The show set up multiple title matches, including an Undisputed Tag-Team Title rematch pitting Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. The Usos.

WWE also announced that the 2023 Draft will kick off in two weeks.

Vince was said to go over scripts for this week's TV, but apparently didn't make any major changes to what was already scheduled. That wasn't the case 24 hours after 'Mania 39 - that show was set to be rather different before McMahon got his hands on it.

It's believed that Triple H will still be the main point of contact behind the scenes at TV going forwards.
