Latest Update On New WWE Contracts For 2 Top Stars
These major WWE stars are confident they'll ink contract extensions this year.
Fightful caught up with both Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at WWE's WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event in Las Vegas on Thursday. Sean Ross Sapp asked them both about ongoing contract talks with the company and whether or not they're likely to sign extensions.
Rollins definitively stated: "We're going to get a new deal", and called WWE "home". The reigning World Heavyweight Champion, who doesn't have an opponent locked in for 'Mania 40 at time of writing, also said he wants to stay with WWE "for the rest of [his] life".
Becky wasn't as definitive with her own statement, but certainly didn't give any indication she's ready to walk away from the company either. She told Fightful that it's important to "make decisions intelligently" after careful thought. Explaining, Lynch added: "That's just what you do".
WWE had Becky confront Rhea Ripley during the 'Mania Kickoff presser in Vegas. Lynch will now go on to compete in an Elimination Chamber match over in Australia on 24 February - the winner of that gets Rhea in Philadelphia this April, and it looks like Becks is a safe bet.
