Legendary Tag Team To Reunite In IMPACT Wrestling

A big-time tag team reunion hits IMPACT Wrestling next week.

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley are getting the band back together.

As announced on last night's episode of IMPACT! on AXS, the Motor City Machine Guns will face Bullet Club's Chris Bey and 'Switchblade' Jay White on next week's show following a confrontation segment.

White was on the microphone, surrounded by the rest of Bullet Club's IMPACT chapter, bragging about defeating Shelley one-on-one at the recent Sacrifice pay-per-view. A war of words ensued, with Bey chiming in to point out that Shelley was all alone opposite four BC members (including Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows). Alex responded by saying that he was never alone in IMPACT Wrestling, leading to Sabin emerging from the back and the Motor City Machine Guns' in-ring reunion being confirmed.

This will get the first time MCMG have teamed in IMPACT since the 1 December 2020 episode. Though active during the pandemic's first few months, Shelley eventually opted to temporarily put his career on ice in order to protect his clients in his full-time career as a physical therapy clinician.

As well as standing as independent wrestling legends, Motor City Machine Guns are one of the most important tandems in IMPACT/TNA history, having held the company's tag straps twice.
