Legendary WWE Women's Tag Team Title Challenge Set For Raw Next Week

Hall-of-Famer to team up with former champ to challenge Damage CTRL.

Damage CTRL recently passed a milestone 100 days as WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, but they will put their titles on the line next week against the unlikely duo of Becky Lynch and Lita.

The WWE Hall-of-Famer returned once again to Raw Monday night to stand alongside The Man in issuing the challenge to Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky, noting that the champs have not defended their titles in more than two months.

Lynch of course has been ensconced in a feud with Damage CTRL - more specifically, Bayley - for a few months now, seemingly winning the rivalry earlier this month in a steel cage match in which Lita aided her by neutralizing Kai & Sky.

But after Becky and Bayley both missed out on the Elimination Chamber match Saturday to crown a new #1 contender for the Raw Women's Championship, Lynch turned her focus Monday to the tag titles with Lita as her partner. Both women noted that they had mended fences from their feud last year.

Becky and Lita managed to goad Bayley into accepting their challenge on Kai & Sky's behalf, something that visibly didn't sit well with the tag champs. File that away for when Damage CTRL finally splits up.
