Lio Rush Speaks Out On WWE's 205 Live Treatment

The former Cruiserweight Champ isn't happy.

Lio Rush

Former NXT Cruiserweight Champion and Bobby Lashley hype man Lio Rush said on Twitter that 205 Live deserves a bigger spotlight in WWE.

Rush was responding to a fan's post during one of his Q&A sessions, and blasted WWE's treatment of the Cruiser brand by saying, "I think 205 Live should be treated better as a whole".

The Friday night show has become the ugly duckling of the WWE broadcasting portfolio recently. It's akin to other peripheral programming like Main Event and isn't considered essential viewing by anyone but the most hardcore of WWE fans.

Compared to Raw, SmackDown, NXT and even NXT UK, 205 Live is barely promoted by the company.

Rush doesn't think that's right. When a fan asked if the show should have its own TakeOver events similar to the "other two NXT brands", Lio fired back with his damning response about WWE's in-house take on 205. He's not the first to rush (ahem) to the show's defence either - others like Mike Kanellis have previously claimed that the show is seriously overlooked.

Careful, Lio, otherwise you'll be pulled from NXT and start appearing exclusively on the Cruiserweight afterthought.
