Liv Morgan Explains Confusing Queen Of The Ring Participation As Champion (WWE News)
Women's World Champ Liv Morgan explains her inclusion in this year's Queen of the Ring.
With WWE having now announced the brackets for this year's King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, the inclusion of Liv Morgan is something that's raised a few eyebrows.
The winners of the King and Queen of the Ring tourneys will earn themselves a World Title shot at this year's SummerSlam. So, seeing current Women's World Champion Liv Morgan in the Queen of the Ring brackets was a little surprising. Morgan will face Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, and Chelsea Green in a fatal four-way match, with the winner going on to battle the winner of Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill for a spot in the Queen of the Ring final.
Speaking on the Clash in Italy post-show last night (via f4wonline), Liv has explained why she's a part of this year's Queen of the Ring:
"It had me thinking of all the people that say Liv Morgan isn’t worthy of being champion, and you know what that made me think? That made me think that I am entering the Queen of the Ring tournament because I want it all. I want it all, so I’m taking it all, because I am the greatest Women’s World Champion of all time.”
The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments are due to start on tonight's edition of Raw, and they'll culminate at WWE Night of Champions on Saturday, June 27th from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Initially introduced as the Queen's Crown tournament in 2021, Zelina Vega, Nia Jax, and Jade Cargill are the three previous Queen of the Ring winners. And now, Liv Morgan is gunning to become the fourth.
