WWE star Liv Morgan opened up about her shock 2023 arrest for possession of synthetic cannabinoid and possession of cannabis during an appearance on Stephanie McMahon's podcast. It's worth pointing out immediately that charges against Morgan went to a plea of Nolo-Contendere, which effectively means that Liv didn't fight them but didn't admit guilt either.

During the podcast, Morgan recalled how police officers effectively turned the arrest into a "meet and greet" session whilst she was in handcuffs. Bizarrely, one officer also found her personal journal in the car and began openly reading passages from it, which Liv thought was way too far at the time and still hates the thought of now.

Fans later called that "intrusive" and "unprofessional", which are clearly sentiments that Morgan agrees with.

She didn't tell police who she was when they pulled her over, but it became clear she was a wrestler once officers found "WWE s***" in the car. Some apologised for the situation. However, it was already too late in the day to call off the arrest, so they had to go through with it.

Liv told Stephanie that she was worried the incident would destroy her WWE career completely. Thankfully, company officials gave her their full backing and everybody quickly moved on. Morgan was grateful for that, because she must've been fearing the worst.

The wrestler returned from an injury layoff by helping onscreen love interest Dominik Mysterio defeat John Cena to win his second Intercontinental Title at Survivor Series: WarGames on 29 November 2025. She's expected to play a key role in the upcoming 30-woman Royal Rumble match over in Saudi Arabia later this month.
