Lucha Underground's 34 Wrestlers - Ranked From Worst To Best

15. Big Ryck

Pros: - Former intercontinental champion - Looks like a gamma-irradiated Nick Fury - Physically strongest competitor in Lucha Underground Cons: - Lost a lot of momentum in the second half of the season - Talks a big vengeance game but doesn't deliver - Overshadowed by by both of his teams Big Ryck, the former Ezekiel Jackson, was one of Dario Cueto's big "gets", along with Johnny Mundo, for the very first set of episodes. Johnny and Ryck were big fish in a small pond then, and the two of them, along with Prince Puma, emerged as the main-eventers of the Temple. However, Ryck, despite being literally the biggest fish in the pond, struggled to maintain that level of stardom as the season wore on. He was betrayed by the Crew, who burned out his eye with his own cigar, and they moved on to better things under Dario Cueto. Ryck came back with a badass eyepatch and promised literal, biblical death vengeance, but settled for pinning them in a match. He assembled a trios team, but they lost in the finals and Mack went on to singles stardom while Ryck flashed back to 2008 and became a bodyguard. He had a resurgence in the last weeks of the season, but the damage was done. It's a shame that much of Ryck's season was a dud, because his work in Lucha Undergound is miles ahead of where it was in WWE, and he has a solid character beyond "giant scary black man." Perhaps season two will be kinder to Ryck, and he can recover some of the momentum he enjoyed during the early goings of season one. Final Rating: ****
