This hugely popular AEW star is unfortunately set for a spell on the sidelines.

It unfortunately looks like Danhausen could be set for a significant spell on the sidelines.

The Very Nice, Very Evil star himself took to Twitter to reveal that he suffered a torn pec at AEW Revolution earlier this month. Since then, both Danhausen and Fightful Select have noted how the hugely popular star is due to undergo surgery on Tuesday.

At this time, it's not known the severity of Danhausen's pec tear, and likewise there's obviously no set timeframe for the Some Place Far Away native. From us all WhatCulture Wrestling, we're sending our best wishes (and maybe a few teeth) to the 6'7", 300 lbs star on his surgery and subsequent road to recovery.

This news comes on the back of another AEW name having to recently undergo emergency surgery, with Chuck Taylor needing emergency dental work last week.

Of course, a pec tear is what kept Cody Rhodes out of action for the final six months of last year. For the American Nightmare, he suffered a major tear prior to his match against Seth Rollins at last June's Hell in a Cell PLE. Rhodes returned to action at the Royal Rumble in January, winning the titular men's bout and setting himself up for a meeting with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 in two week's time.
