Major Title Changes Hands On WWE NXT
One of the longest-running title reigns in WWE today is OVER...
Roxanne Perez is your new NXT Women's Champion, cashing in her title shot Tuesday on NXT to dethrone Mandy Rose.
Perez earned the opportunity to call her shot at NXT DEADL1NE when she won the first women's Iron Survivor Challenge match, entering first and outlasting four other wrestlers for the 25-minute battle.
She opened Tuesday's show with an in-ring promo that was interrupted by the men's Iron Survivor, Grayson Waller. NXT Champion Bron Breakker came out to back Roxanne up, but after he left to chase Waller off, Rose blindsided Perez. The Prodigy wasted little time in issuing the challenge for later in the night, and the champ accepted.
This was actually Perez's second women's title shot, losing to Rose in July when she used her title match from winning the Breakout Tournament.
This time, however, Perez was ready. Her rival, Cora Jade, was nowhere to be found, and Rose's Toxic Attraction cohorts were involved in a backstage brawl and weren't around to provide backup. The 21-year-old managed to kick out of Mandy's Kiss from the Rose finisher and then nail Pop Rox for the big win.

Perez's win ends Rose's title reign at 413 days, the third-longest women's title run in NXT history, a reign that began at Halloween Havoc 2021.
