Absent from WWE programming since July, Bayley now appears to be nearing a comeback.

This is according to the former SmackDown Women's Champion herself. Speaking during a Q&A session held on her Instagram page over the weekend, Bayley said that it's "only a matter of time" before she gets back in the ring:-

“So my knee is doing great, my ankle is doing great, my calf is doing great, my shin is doing great, my hip is doing great. My mind is doing great. So it’s only a matter of time.”

A comment veering closer to kayfabe followed, with Bayley not wanting to give her return date away:-

“I’m not going to tell you when and I don’t want all these idiots watching to know when. But I’m going to be coming back soon, maybe, no. Y’all better be ready, better be ready.”

WWE announced that Bayley would have to undergo surgery after suffering a torn ACL while training at the Performance Center in July. This cost her a shot at Bianca Belair's SmackDown Women's Title at Money in the Bank 2021. A nine-month absence was originally pegged for Bayley, though the recovery window for such injuries can be fluid, with comeback dates difficult to predict.

Bayley last wrestled on SmackDown's 25 June episode, teaming with Seth Rollins to face Belair and Cesaro.
