Bryan Danielson aims to wrestle around 5-10 matches annually upon going part-time after this, his last full-time year.

The AEW star indicated last summer that he planned to dial back his wrestling commitments within the next 12 months. By that timeline, the changes would come into play around August or September.

Now, in a new interview with Tokyo Sports, has reaffirmed that he wants to move onto a more relaxed schedule once this year is finished. He said that after "fighting every week for a long time," he intends to work 5-10 bouts a year when he goes part-time.

Danielson is due to wrestle NJPW's Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 18 this morning. He has New Japan ambitions beyond Okada, however, telling Tokyo Sports that Hiromu Takahashi, El Desperado, Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, and Tomohiro Ishii are all on his wishlist.

Okada and Danielson's Tokyo Dome match will be their second singles meeting. The first took place at last June's Forbidden Door 2023 event, but was hampered by an early-match injury to Danielson, who suffered a broken arm. Nonetheless, 'The American Dragon' defeated Okada in their first-time dream match.
