Major WWE Return Coming SOON To SmackDown

Carlito's exact WWE return date has been confirmed, with the cult Ruthless Aggression favourite coming back as a full-timer at the Friday, 7 July episode of SmackDown at Madison Square Garden.

PWInsider Elite has reported as much, with Carlito seemingly set to be assigned to Friday nights.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported last week that Carlito had pulled out of at least one independent date after informing a promoter of his impending WWE comeback. Now, the former United States, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Champion is set to become a full-timer in Stamford for the first time since 2010.

Carlito last appeared for WWE at Backlash 2023 last month, commanding a monstrous crowd reaction in his native Puerto Rico. That event saw him align with the Latino World Order in a brawl with The Judgment Day, as Bad Bunny fought Damian Priest. The lWo is currently assigned to SmackDown, though there is no word on whether or not Carlito will become a full-time member of the group.

Before Backlash, Carlito made a two-night WWE comeback in the 2021 Royal Rumble and the following episode of Raw, wrapping up again shortly after.
