Maria Kanellis Cleared For WWE In-Ring Return
She's been out since September, but could Maria return for Evolution?
Two months after suffering a broken wrist while preparing for her post-pregnancy WWE comeback, Maria Kanellis has been given the all-clear to return to the squared circle.
The 36-year-old broke the news during the latest edition of her and husband Mike's Mike and Maria in Wonderland podcast. The full episode can be viewed on their official YouTube channel, with the announcement found at the 48-minute mark.
Maria had previously signalled her goal of returning prior to the Evolution pay-per-view on 28 October, which should be achievable now that her doctors have given her the okay. That card is filling up, but it's far from complete, and there's plenty of room for Kanellis and other unbooked stars to find their way onto the lineup.
Though she re-signed with WWE in June 2017, Maria hasn't worked a match since her and Mike were defeated in an Impact Wrestling bout with Cody and Brandi Rhodes in October 2016. Both have been used extremely sparingly, with Maria undergoing a leave of absence when news of her pregnancy broke three months after returning. Her last televised appearance was on Raw 25 on 22 January.
