Matt Hardy Pitches Tag-Team With Major AEW Star

Crafty veteran Matt Hardy wants to team up with this rising AEW star soon.

Matt Hardy has pitched a "trios run" with his brother Jeff and Wardlow.

The veteran, speaking on his podcast, said he liked Wardlow immediately when he first joined AEW and met the guy. Since then, Wardlow has moved out of the shadows of a bodyguard role with MJF to become the new TNT Champion, and Matt couldn't be prouder of him.

Hardy described the champ as "extremely athletic" and also said he's "a very charismatic, good looking dude". Experienced names putting over newer talent on podcasts is nothing new, but Matt pitching a trios run? Yeah, that's certainly something unique.

AEW's Trios Titles are coming in the near future, and Hardy wants to bag a sweet run for himself by bringing his friendship with Wardlow to shows like Dynamite and Rampage. Of course, all of this depends on Jeff sorting out his personal problems away from the ring - the younger Hardy brother probably won't be actively wrestling for a while.

Matt said working alongside Wardlow on AEW TV would be "really, really fun". It's something he's keen to explore at some stage if Tony Khan is interested.
