Matt Jackson Reveals The 3 Wrestlers AEW Will Push In 2020
AEW's main event scene could look a lot different for "season two."
AEW wrestler and Executive Vice President Matt Jackson was recently interviewed by ScreenCrush.com, during which he indicated that Kenny Omega, Darby Allin, and Hangman Page could be set to receive major focus as Dynamite enters its second year on TNT.
"I think year two is going to be all about Kenny Omega. He’s been very, what’s the word I’m looking for, I guess unselfish and he’s ready to explode," said the Young Buck. "I would keep my eye on him."
On Allin, Jackson said "He's got so much potential to be such a massive star for AEW that we have to use him in the right way, and he's definitely going to be a top player."
Page, meanwhile, was called a future World Champion.
Omega's first year in AEW saw him take more of a secondary role than many would have expected, though he still partook in major singles matches with Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho. His tag team work alongside Page drew widespread acclaim, and the duo are expected to feud in the future - possibly over the World Title.
Allin, meanwhile, is primed and ready for a rocket push, with a TNT Title match with Cody on the docket for Full Gear 2020.
