WWE revealed on their website that lead Raw announcer Michael Cole is set to miss this week's upcoming broadcast - only the second time in his twenty year tenure that he'll be absent for duties.

Cole will be away from the commentary booth in order to attend his son's wedding. His spare headset will be picked up by Tom Phillips, which is just as well because they're the same.

The last time Cole wasn't present for Monday Night Raw was 6 April 2015 episode, which he sat out due to 'serious internal injuries' suffered at the hands of Brock Lesnar a week earlier. On both the night of the 'assault' and the following week, Byron Saxton filled in for the long-term announcer. He was bad.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
