Having been in early training for one more match as part of his 60th birthday celebrations, Mick Foley has decided to call off those plans after suffering a concussion.

The Hardcore Legend had previously laid out his intentions to compete in one final death match as a way to mark his 60th birthday and also as a motivation to lose some weight. However, any such contest will now not be happening.

Taking to YouTube, Mick explained how dizziness caused him to cancel some personal appearances last month, and that, after speaking to medical professionals, using his own experiences, and consulting with his family, he believes he's suffered a concussion.

As Foley noted, he'd begun working out a little in the ring, and one such occasion saw him have a notable dizzy spell. Most concerning for the three-time World Champion, he doesn't even know when he suffered this concussion. And if the WWE Hall of Famer can suffer a concussion without even realising it during training, that wasn't a good sign for the things the Micker had planned for this death match.

Mick Foley turns 60 on 7 June 2025, and Jon Moxley and Matt Cardona were talked up as potential opponents for Foley's return to the ring. As it stands, though, the final singles match of Mick's career remains a 2010 Last Man Standing offering against Ric Flair for TNA. Since then, 2011 saw Foley and Terry Funk team up against Roddy Piper and 'Cowboy' Bob Orton in a short match on a JCW Legends & Icons show, and Mick also made a brief appearance in the 2012 Royal Rumble.
