Mick Foley Doubles Down On WWE Shoot Comments

Mick Foley has again taken aim at the current issues seen and felt across WWE programming on Twitter.

Earlier this week, the WWE icon didn't mince his words when discussing the fact that WWE is now "no longer the place for talent to aspire to." On top of that damning assessment, the Mankind man went on to confess that "part of it is because AEW is doing a great job of attracting great talent, proven talent, building other talent, creating storylines."

One of the major names Foley honed in on when giving an example of WWE's terrible handling of its current crop of stars was none other than former NXT Champion Karrion Kross, with Foley stating:

"I think younger talent sees the way that developmental characters are cut or left by the wayside or, in the case of Karrion Kross, greatly watered down."

Now, jumping back on the ol' Twitter machine, Foley has doubled-down on these words by giving an interesting side-by-side reference for WWE's awful creative output in 2021. Posting an image of a graphic for an Impact Wrestling main event bout which featured both Kross and John Morrison squaring up over the promotion's top belt, Foley compared this to the duo's most recent scrap which saw Johnny Drip Drip fire his "Dripstick" at the seriously mishandled titan.

With the image itself pretty much saying it all, Foley simply added, "THIS!"

As evidenced in the fact that Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole - despite harbouring no ill will towards the company - both recently jumped ship to Tony Khan's AEW, it does seem as though WWE have been nudged off the top spot when it comes to the place where the top stars want to ply their trade.
