Missing-in-action WWE wrestler Aleister Black has been spotted at the Performance Center over the past few weeks.

This is according to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, who revealed as much during a recent Q&A session, answering a question on Black’s WWE status.

Black, 35, hasn’t wrestled for WWE since losing a No Disqualification match to Kevin Owens on the 12 October 2020 episode of Raw. That show also saw the former NXT Champion sent to SmackDown as part of the 2020 WWE Draft, though the Dutchman is yet to make his debut on his new brand.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer has previously reported that unless Vince McMahon suddenly decides he wants to use Black again, his purgatory will continue. It was reported earlier this week that Aleister is also dealing with a number of minor injuries while away from television.

November 2020 saw Black’s wife, Zelina Vega, released from WWE for “breach of contract,” having refuse to adhere to the promotion’s new ban on independently making earnings from third-party streaming platforms. Her 90-day WWE non-compete clause expired earlier this month, though she is yet to show up in another promotion.
