Injured WWE star Erik of the Viking Raiders has undergone neck fusion surgery.

The 39-year-old has revealed as much via Instagram, captioning images of an X-ray, his surgery scar, and a hospital bed photo with wife Sarah 'Valhalla' Rowe with words thanking the medical professionals at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, where he underwent the procedure.

With his C6/C7 vertebrae fusion surgery successful, Erk now begins the recovery process.

Per the Raider himself:

I cannot express the proper gratitude and thankfulness to the amazing Dr Cordover and his incredible staff at @andrews_sports_medicine and St Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL and to @wwe for always making sure I have the best care possible. C6 / C7 fusion surgery was successful and recovery begins now. I’m excited for all the possibilities once my cybernetic upgrades come fully online.

Erik's tag team partner, Ivar, who is in the midst of a singles push in his ally's absence, responded:
