MJF reportedly needed to have his hip "popped back in" after wrestling 'Switchblade' Jay White at AEW Full Gear 2023 this Saturday past (18 November).

This is per WrestlePurists, who reported that MJF's post-show media scrum talk of being banged up was accurate. The 27-year-old hurt his hip while hitting an elbow drop to the outside of the ring, hence it needing "popped back in", and also took a shoulder knock while hitting an avalanche Uranage.

The outlet notes that MJF isn't expected to miss television time as a result of his injuries. Until he is healed, he will still be around in a non-wrestling capacity.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp has corroborated the report:

MJF was a busy man at Full Gear. First, he teamed with Samoa Joe to successfully defend the ROH Tag Team Titles against The Gunns on the Zero Hero pre-show - a situation that will see him give Joe another shot at the AEW World Title in exchange for his allegiance.

Later, MJF felled White in a successful World Championship defence, despite being written out via ambulance angle earlier in the night. Following his victory, MJF's reign stretched beyond the one-year mark.
