MJF Recalls Crazy Time He Thought An AEW Fan Might ABDUCT Him
AEW star MJF had a wild backstage interaction with an invading fan that you won't believe.
One has to sift through ample character work during MJF's media interviews. That's just the way the man is - he's dedicated to the cause, and that can make it difficult to ascertain what is fact and what is fiction designed to push his TV persona.
If this crazy fan story is true, then it's downright scary.
MJF told Busted Open Radio that a fan once fooled "building security" (he didn't say which building) and managed to sneak backstage at an AEW show. Then, in a weird moment, said fan approached the wrestler and told him, "I’m going to be your pilot today. I’m going to be flying you back to New York".
Initially, MJF didn't bat an eyelid. He said his father was ill at the time, and he thought Tony Khan might be doing him a favour by chartering a private flight out of Dynamite. That...wasn't the case.
Eventually, after MJF had spoken to Khan and clicked, AEW's own security team took care of things. The worried grappler recalls thinking that he could've been abducted, or worse. Thankfully, the situation didn't get out of hand or get that far.
