MJF Removed From AEW Roster & Merchandise Pages

A day after demanding that Tony Khan fire him, did Maxwell get his wish?

While wrestling fans are still buzzing about a truly epic promo from MJF Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite, it looks like the story of Max Friedman being at total odds with the company are far from over.

Thursday, AEW removed Friedman from its roster page, and his ShopAEW page simply loads a "404" error.

The development is in keeping with how things unfolded on Dynamite, where MJF unloaded on AEW president Tony Khan, calling him a "f***ing mark" and demanding that he fire him. At that point, where he started laying in the profanity, Friedman's mic cut off and the show quickly faded to black and went to commercial. When it came back, the announcers didn't reference it and quickly moved on with the rest of the show.

Removing MJF from the roster after he declared he didn't want to be there any longer, cursed out the boss on national TV and demanded he be fired is a hell of a move. It definitely will continue the buzz for the next several days, fueling speculation and raising questions about what could come next.

It's interesting that this comes right after Wardlow, formerly MJF's employee and not technically part of AEW, won his freedom and became All Elite at Double or Nothing. Now, his former boss is trying to bail on the company and the company is seemingly happy to oblige.

Stay tuned, as it seems like AEW is going to keep this rolling along.
