Mojo Rawley Signs New WWE Contract
Hyper Bro. inks multi-year deal.
As WWE tries to stave off a potential talent exodus in the direction of AEW, news has emerged that another one of their stars has put pen to paper on a revised deal.
According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Mojo Rawley has signed what is said to be a "multi-year" contract with the company.
Further details of the renewed deal are not known at present.
Rawley, real name Dean Muhtadi, joined WWE's developmental arm in 2012 following a stint as a Defensive Linesman for the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals. After four years pottering around NXT, he was called up to the main roster in 2016, partnering with Zack Ryder as 'The Hype Bros.'
A year later, he won WrestleMania 33's Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, thanks to an assist from pro-football pal Rob Gronkowski.
Since then, Rawley has largely been mired in mid-card obscurity. He turned heel earlier this year, after a series of Paul Orndorff-esque promos in which he ranted and raved at his own reflection.
He also started wearing 'scary' facepaint.
Would AEW have jumped at the chance to sign Rawley? It's impossible to say. Either way, the performer is the latest to use the new-found leverage to hash out an improved contract.
