More Details On Paige's Injury
Former Divas' Champion suffering from nerve damage.
WWE star Paige has been out of action for over a month, with reports circulating that she's been dealing with neck issues.
Now, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Paige is dealing with nerve damage in addition those injuries, and she's been experiencing weakness in her right arm.
Paige's last match came on the June 27 episode of Raw, when she teamed with Sasha Banks to defeat Charlotte and Dana Brooke. Since then, she's been on the shelf, although news regarding her status has been slow to emerge. WWE has not acknowledged her injury - in fact, the only mention of Paige came on July 19, when she was drafted to Smackdown on the WWE Network's "DraftCenter Live" special.
Paige first joined NXT at age 18, and would end up becoming the brand's inaugural Women's Champion. She debuted on the main roster on the Raw after WrestleMania XXX, immediately defeating AJ Lee for the Divas' Championship. She would rack up a second run as champion during their feud, but has floundered for the past several months.
The issues with which Paige is currently dealing have been compared to the ones that put Daniel Bryan on the shelf following WrestleMania XXX. As Bryan's recovery took several months and was uncertain at times, there's no timetable on Paige's return.
