PWInsider has provided more details about the recent deal made between WWE and TNA to have Jordynne Grace appear in NXT.

The TNA Knockouts Champion shocked the world when she returned to WWE this week to confront NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez, with the two now being set to wrestle at Battleground on June 9.

According to PWInsider, this deal to have Grace on NXT came together three weeks ago.

"99%" of the staff within TNA were said to have no clue the crossover was even happening and PWInsider believe that TNA's Creative Team didn't know about it either, with only a few of people on that side seemingly being aware of the extremely confidential deal - most likely TNA President Anthony Cicione and TNA Executive Producer Ariel Shnerer, with the latter being the "point person" on the TNA side when it came to making the Grace appearance happen.

This all led to TNA's TV this week being changed late on whilst editing to include a recap of the Grace NXT arrival. And on the NXT side of things, it looks like things were very much kept a secret in developmental, too.

Instead of Grace's name appearing on the run-sheet for the segment in rehearsals, the company had Alexa Bliss' there, with Lita's music being played to ensure the Knockout Champion's surprise wasn't spoiled early. Some sources within WWE are even claiming that Perez genuinely didn't know who was coming out in the segment when stood in the ring during the show.

Folks within WWE also believe that NXT will have some sort of involvement at the upcoming TNA Against All Odds show in Chicago on June 14 and maybe even at Slammiversary in Montreal, with Grace issuing an open challenge for her belt at the former event. TNA are hoping that this new connection with NXT can move a few more tickets for their next few shows, too.

PWInsider also confirmed that Grace's TNA deal expires in the first quarter of 2025.

Who else could jump over from NXT-to-TNA or vice versa in the not too distant future? Only time will tell...
