WWE reportedly planned on having Shane McMahon participate in this year's Elimination Chamber.

Hot on the heels of being booted out of the promotion post Royal Rumble sh*t-show, it was widely reported that all of the previous Raw, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 38 plans Vince McMahon had in store for his son were quickly binned off. And while reports emerged that Shane O' Mac was very much interested in taking on his father's on-screen pet project Austin Theory at the Show of Shows, another since-cancelled concept for the son of the chairman has been revealed.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there was actually a plan in place at one point which involved Shane and Seth Rollins colliding on Raw before meeting inside of the chamber at the upcoming Saudi PPV and ultimately setting up a showdown on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Before being let go from the company after generating nuclear heat backstage for his part in this year's men's Royal Rumble, both on-screen and behind-the-scenes, Shane-O was set to be on the latest edition of Raw. But his appearance was understandably shelved in favour of having Theory battle against Kevin Owens for a spot in the chamber - a position originally meant for Shane.
