Further All Elite Wrestling talent departures are expected over the coming weeks and months.

Fightful Select report that Lio Rush's contract was one of many AEW deals due to expire in the near future. Rush confirmed earlier today that he would be a free agent as of 14 February, which is when his agreement with the Tony Khan-helmed promotion elapses.

AEW will not publically announce any contracts that expire, instead allowing them to elapse quietly.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson has since released a similar report stating that further departures should be expected over the next 30-60 days. A number of expiring contracts are not going to be renewed, though it's possible that wrestlers who leave the company could be used on a per appearance deal later down the road (there is currently no definitive word on this, though).

Tony Khan has thus far stayed true to his word when it comes to talent departures, having previously vowed not to cut wrestlers with significant time remaining on their contracts. Exceptions have been made for disciplinary issues and wrestlers unable to travel to the United States following the COVID-19 pandemic's onset, however.
