More WWE Names Receive Positive Test Results

Positive test results caused chaos at the August 4 TV tapings.

With WWE these days carrying out full tests on all of their talent – y’know, for that ongoing global bastard (hey, Adam Wilbourn!) – now comes the worrying news that WWE has received yet another batch of positive test results back.

We’d already heard how the Tuesday, August 4 TV tapings went array when issues caused WWE to tape only one episode of SmackDown as opposed to the planned two Smackers outings. That situation led to a knock-on effect where it pertains to the rest of the week’s planned recording scheduled – to the point that an extra day of TV tapings took place yesterday to record tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

Worryingly though, it’s now being reported by PWInsider that the reason for such chaos on August 4 was down to more positive test results being presented to WWE.

After WWE’s handling of the whole global situation was heavily criticised in the early goings, Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment juggernaut finally pulled its finger out and put full and proper protocols in place at any and all TV tapings – that coming after an initial outbreak hit the company hard in June.

Right now, there’s obviously no word on which talent or staff have tested positive this time out, and it’s likely to stay like that unless said staff and talent decide to make this news public.
