Chances are you remember Owen Hart for a multitude of reasons other than his spell with Mr. Fuji, but the duo accomplished enough together to make Hart one of Fuji’s most successful clients. A brief alliance, but a fruitful one nonetheless.

It was 1994. Owen was fresh-off losing a multi-year feud with his brother Bret, and was looking to rebound in spectacular fashion. Owen challenged The Smoking Gunns to a Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania XI, announcing that he’d be joined by a mystery tag team partner, and out came Yokozuna.

The duo successfully defeated Billy & Bart Gunn to bring home the belts, and while Fuji initially shared the managerial role with Jim Cornette, Owen soon shook him off. Mr. Fuji was now the group’s sole manager, and he led Yokozuna and Owen to a five-month title reign at ended at Shawn Michaels & Diesel’s hands at In Your House 3. The duo were briefly handed a second title reign that ended at the Gunns’ hands, and in capturing gold under Fuji’s management, Hart earns his place close to the top of the list.
