New Details On Revival Requesting WWE Release

Dash and Dawson unhappy with direction of tag division.

With AEW in the process of snapping up talent, rumours have been circulating that The Revival - hot off the heels of a subtle sartorial suggestion - could be set to walk away from WWE to join Cody and The Bucks.

Last week it was reported that Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder had apparently requested their release from their current employers. More details of the story emerged over the weekend, as sources close to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet say the pair asked for their contracts to be torn up because of how poorly they are currently being utilised. Apparently, The Revival believes the tag division is afforded scant regard by WWE, and are not just disappointed in their own direction, but that of the entire division.

Case in point: current tag champions Bobby Roode & Chad Gable did not even feature on last week's episode of Monday Night Raw. Supposedly, this was the catalyst for The Revival pleading their release - a request which was quickly turned down.

The groundswell of support for The Revival's current plight means WWE are hesitant to let them carry that momentum over to the Khan's appetising new venture. There is said to be a lot of time left on the duo's current deals, so either they'll have to sit them out, or WWE may respond to their complaints constructively. Watch this space.
