New Details On Velveteen Dream Being Backstage At WWE Raw
Absent since December 2020, Velveteen Dream showed up backstage at Raw this week.
Velveteen Dream was never scheduled to appear at any point on this week's WWE Raw despite being backstage for the show.
This is according to PWInsider's Mike Johnson, whose report also states that the 25-year-old hasn't been seen at the Performance Center for several months.
Monday evening saw the Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online's Dave Meltzer report that Dream was backstage at the ThunderDome in Tampa, Florida. Currently, there is no word on why, exactly, the former NXT North American Champion was brought to the tapings if not to be factored into any creative plans.
Dream has been absent from WWE television since December 2020, when he lost a singles match to Adam Cole on NXT's Christmas special. The once-promising prospect was the subject of multiple allegations of sexual harassment committed against minors last year, primarily in April and June, when he was accused of grooming, messaging, and sending sexually explicit images to underage boys and girls.
When Dream was pulled from television following the first round of allegations, Triple H claimed he was recovering from a car crash. The NXT chief also claimed that the company hadn't found anything after investigation the accusations.
