Report: Velveteen Dream Was Backstage At WWE Raw Last Night
The missing NXT wrestler was behind the scenes at the ThunderDome on Monday.
Velveteen Dream was backstage for last night's WWE Raw tapings at the Thunderdome in Tampa, Florida, reports Dave Meltzer in the latest Figure Four Online/Wrestling Observer Daily Update.
The 25-year-old didn't appear on the broadcast itself. There's currently no word on why he was brought to the show.
Meltzer notes that Dream "hasn't been around as of late," having last wrestled for the company in December 2020, when he lost to Adam Cole on NXT's special Christmas episode. Prior to that, Velveteen had worked only a sporadic schedule for much of 2020.
Once considered one of WWE's most promising young prospects, April 2020 saw Dream accused of sexual harassment when he was alleged to have sent inappropriate photographs of himself to minors. Though backed by screenshots, the allegations were denied.
Two months later, Dream was subjected to fresh accusations, this time allegedly sending explicit images to an underage girl and grooming underage boys. When Velveteen was taken off television soon after, WWE claimed he was recovering from a car crash, adding that they hadn't found anything while investigating the allegations.
WWE has been criticised for a lack of transparency in disclosing the measures taken during said investigation. Nonetheless, Dream was back on television by August.
