Adam Cole vs. Finn Balor went down last night and yes, there was a winner.

More than five years after first winning the belt, Finn Balor is WWE NXT Champion once more.

NXT's 'Prince' defeated Adam Cole to capture the strap for the second time on last night's Super Tuesday show. All big bombs and adrenaline spikes, the 23-minute encounter was typical of the NXT brand, building towards a big series of signature move kickouts. Cole even escaped the Coup de Grace after a two-count, though Finn jamming his knee up delayed his cover and kept the move semi-protected.

They built towards a top rope battle after Balor had already hit one 1916. He got the upper hand over Cole there as well, drilling him with another 1916 from the top rope for the 1-2-3.

Triple H, William Regal, and Cole himself congratulated the new champion backstage after the show. A short promo saw Balor state that the strap was the main reason he came back to NXT in the first place.

Last night's clash was set up by the previous week's four-way Iron Man match, which finished on a two-way tie after sixty minutes. Regal booked this singles clash between the two winners rather than entering sudden death.
