Who won between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman?

Roman Reigns' vacated WWE Universal Champion was claimed at Crown Jewel this Friday, and you'll never guess who's back in the hot seat. That's right: Brock Lesnar!

Just over two months after Lesnar's interminable first reign with the title finally ended, the red strap is once more back round his waist, after he demolished Braun Strowman in Riyadh this afternoon. In the process, he becomes the first two-time WWE Universal Champ, for all that means.

The bout began with Strowman blindsided by Raw's craft Constable Corbin, leaving him open for an immediate F5. Strowman kicked out, but faced an onslaught from big Brock, who landed a further five F5s before pinning his opponent.

You sort of get the feeling that at this stage, WWE are simply bantering off their fans. Quite aside from actually going forwards with Crown Jewel in the first place, the company decided this of all shows was the right time to wheel out Hulk Hogan for his big return - a good day to bury bad news.

Transferring the Universal title back onto Brock Lesnar, given the widespread criticism of his last, largely absent tenure, smacks of taking the p*ss. It's sort of admirable, really.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
