Nia Jax Reveals Backstage WWE Reaction To THAT Becky Lynch Punch
How did Becky Lynch, Vince McMahon and others really react to Nia Jax' infamous WWE punch?
Nia Jax was "freaking out" when she socked Becky Lynch in the face for real on the 12 November 2018 episode of WWE Raw.
Jax told Renee Paquette's 'The Sessions' podcast that she thought for sure she'd be torched by Vince McMahon and other company officials for blasting Becks. That didn't happen. Instead, McMahon laughed it off and said, "Well, it's not ballet".
Meanwhile, WWE's social media team encouraged Nia to play up to the heat she was getting from fans online for daring to bloody Lynch's nose. That's why she posted a tweet showing her banged-up knuckles and asked if people were going to show her some sympathy too.
Yes, that was a concerted effort from WWE to paint Jax as a callous heel who didn't give a damn.
In reality, Nia wanted to make sure that Becky was alright. Jax said she was "bugging the sh*t" out of Lynch, but that concern came from a good place. She obviously hadn't meant to throw a shoot punch that night.
Becky was cool about everything, and so was Vince. That surprised Nia - she figured she'd get into trouble.
