Rating: ****¼

Though not as captivating as their majestic Draw In The Downpour or as brutal as the leg destruction in last year's IWGP Heavyweight Title match, Okada vs. Suzuki was a triumph, and comfortably the lagging A Block's best bout of the week.

Like both of their most recent encounters, this was a tale of Okada's valiant fightbacks versus Suzuki's unbridled malevolence. MiSu looked like a killer here. At one point, he was legitimately cackling his head off during a striking duel. He has done this before, but it was particularly jarring in the face of the record-breaking former IWGP Champion, who sold excellently throughout.

The imagery of Suzuki and Okada literally slapping the sweat off each other was incredible, though a flat finish does smudge the bout's gloss.
