With NXT TakeOver: Portland taking place this coming Sunday, Triple H has been doing the usual media rounds to promote this next major outing for the black and gold brand. And in amongst this press work, The Game has revealed how a special episode of NXT will soon be taking place away from Full Sail University.

Discussing how Full Sail has a prior commitment that restricts the brand from using the NXT Arena for one week, Hunter confirmed that a full announcement on this one-off special will be made soon.

Triple H explained that NXT has been aware of this Full Sail commitment ever since the relationship between the two parties began, and he reiterated how all is well and that “they’re supportive of us, we’re supportive of them, and we do what’s best for each other”.

Responding to a question about whether WWE is contractually obligated to have each episode of NXT emanate from Full Sail, Helmsley said that he’s not actually sure on contract legalities – instead explaining how the two parties are “at the point where we just have conversations” and “we feel like being here is a strength, we feel like being here long-term is an opportunity, it’s a learning experience for everybody because people forget what happens here benefits all of WWE.”

And for those who have questioned how much interest Vince McMahon and other top WWE brass have in the NXT product, Triple H used this media call to double-down that everybody in WWE cares about the NXT brand.
