William Regal has confirmed via Twitter that recently deposed NXT Tag Team Champions The Street Profits will get a shot at reclaiming the gold against The Undisputed Era on the 2 October episode of NXT.

Nominal Raw stars Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins dropped the doubles straps to the team of Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish on the 28 August edition of NXT. The Undisputed Era completed their grip on all of NXT's top male titles after Roderick Strong bested Velveteen Dream for the NXT North American Title on the black and gold brand's USA debut last week. Group leader Adam Cole is the current NXT Champion.

The Street Profits had previously claimed the tag belts after winning a fatal four-way ladder match at NXT TakeOver: XXV on 1 June.

Next week's episode of NXT marks the first time both of its two hours will air live on USA Network, whilst tonight's edition will retain last week's format, split between television and the WWE Network.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
